The George Beach Pioneer Award was established in 1998 in honor of George Beach and presented to an African American whose life and work embodies trailblazing impact in the field of communications and the creative arts. The Award embodies the various facets of his life and career. George Beach has been involved with a wide array of communications and creative arts in building Beach Advertising–thus the Award embraces those pioneers who have created pathways in various expressions including visual and performing arts, theater, literature, music and entertainment.
